Although the use of asbestos is prohibited on all ships according to SOLAS 2011, there is still asbestos in ships built before. The purpose of this training is to raise awareness about where asbestos can be found on ships, the risks associated with asbestos and how these risks can be managed in accordance with SOLAS guidelines.
