The STCW Designated Security Duties course is intended to provide the knowledge needed for seafarers with designated security duties. This knowledge enables them to perform anti-piracy and anti-armed-robbery-related activities stated in Ship Security Plan (SSP), as per the requirements of Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS 74, the ISPS Code, and section A-VI/6 of the STCW Code.
