The 8th Sept 2017 marks an important day both for the shipping industry and for the environment. This date is the entry into force date of IMO’s “Ballast Water Management Convention”. Until 2024, all new and existing ships will have to conform to the “D2 Standard” which means an approved “Ballast Water Management System” must be installed onboard. Our training aims to give detailed information to seafarers in all departments about the “Ballast Water Management Systems”; requirements, types, operation, and PSC preparation under the relevant BWMC.
