It is time to reduce the Carbon Intensity of International Shipping through the IMO’s SEEMP III and CII.
Before the end of the year, all ships must show that they are fully prepared for the International Maritime Organization’s new Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) rating regime. Ships subject to the CII rating must have a SEEMP Part III-compliant plan in place by December 31, 2022, as confirmed by the relevant Flag Administration or its Recognised Organization.
