Description
Lack of safe access, unauthorised boarding/disembarking, unsecured gangways, ladders, working on outboard edges, or outside the railing without proper PPE, lack of situational awareness, unexpected changes in weather conditions, improper or non-use of the personal flotation devices (PFDs) could cause falling into the water and could even result in fatality.
All seafarers must be aware of the potential risks of falling while they are on duty.
Check out our Learning Engagement Tool CBT trailer for “Falling into the Water” which focuses on tasks that includes a risk of falling with realistic scenarios and triggering questions that allow discussion between the crew members and eases facilitation.
Interact, discuss the topics and share your experiences with your colleagues.
