Description
A lifeboat is a small boat that is carried on a ship, which the crew use to escape when the ship is in danger of sinking.
The enclosed lifeboats are capable of transporting persons safely through fire, toxic gases, and high seas. It should be ensured that the boats are readily available for use at all times.
The instructions on proper methods of launching, releasing, handling, and maintaining the life support systems shall be well understood by all crew members on board.
Check out our Learning Engagement Tool CBT trailer for “Lifeboat Operation” which is prepared with problem-based learning methodology, focuses on the correct operations, maintenance, drills, and training requirements of a lifeboat with realistic scenarios and triggering questions that allow discussion between the crew members and eases facilitation.
