Maritime Trainer and Eyesea Join Forces to Protect the World's Oceans

Ocean pollution is one of the defining challenges facing the maritime industry today — and the people best placed to help tackle it are the seafarers who spend their working lives on the water. That's the idea behind Eyesea, an environmental initiative that lets seafarers and coastal communities report marine pollution, plastic waste, and other environmental hazards directly from their phones, feeding a global reporting map used by organisations, governments, and maritime partners around the world.
We're excited to formalise our collaboration with Eyesea, becoming a recognised partner in support of their mission to protect the marine environment through practical training, technology, and community action.
Why this partnership makes sense
Maritime Trainer works with a training footprint across approximately 2,000 vessels and an online community of more than 100,000 maritime professionals across Türkiye, China, Singapore, and beyond. Eyesea brings a purpose-built tool that turns everyday observation into actionable environmental data. Together, we can put that tool directly in front of the seafarers who are already on the front line of ocean health.
What's coming
Over the next few months, we'll be weaving Eyesea into the Maritime Trainer experience — from dedicated training content that shows seafarers how to use the app, to a wider awareness push across our community. We're also looking ahead to deeper collaboration, including local support in Turkey and joint environmental campaigns with Eyesea.

This is a partnership built on shared values: both Maritime Trainer and Eyesea believe that meaningful change in ocean protection starts with the people who work on the water every day, and that giving them better tools and better training makes that change possible.
