 Develop a strong focus on safety during STS operations, understanding critical considerations and risk mitigation strategies.
 Master effective communication protocols for clear and concise information exchange between vessels involved in STS transfers.
 Learn about the essential pre-operational preparations required for safe and efficient STS operations.
 Gain knowledge of maneuvering techniques, mooring and unmooring procedures specific to STS operations to ensure safe station keeping and cargo transfer.
 Understand the selection, use, and maintenance of appropriate equipment used during STS operations.
 Develop emergency response procedures for various incidents that may occur during STS transfers, ensuring crew preparedness.
 Recognize the importance of utilizing safety checklists to verify critical steps and procedures are followed throughout STS operation.
