Course Content

After completing this training, the learner will be familiar with the following topics:
• Identify and operate all physical controls and software-based interface elements of the JRC ECDIS. 
• Configure chart display settings, including safety contours and depth alarms, to ensure safe navigation. 
• Execute professional route planning using both tabular and graphical methods, ensuring all safety parameters are met. 
• Perform manual chart updates and create custom user maps to reflect real-time navigational hazards. 
• Manage system sensors and peripheral connections to maintain accurate ship positioning and heading data. 
• Utilize playback functions to review voyage data for training or incident investigation purposes
