TSEC003 -  ECDIS_TRANSAS Navi-Sailor 4000

The Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS Operational Training course provides comprehensive, hands-on instruction on operating the Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). This course covers the effective setup, execution, and monitoring required across all stages of a voyage.

Participants will explore the ECDIS user interface, including toolbar functions, display setup, vector chart navigation, and sensor integration. Key operational topics include creating and modifying route plans, setting safety parameters (such as safety contours, safety depths, and safety frames), and conducting automatic route hazard checks. Learners will also master the application of manual corrections, customized map overlay creation, environmental data monitoring (tides, currents, and sun/moon data), and collision avoidance target management using integrated ARPA and AIS feeds.

Through step-by-step procedures, this training builds the operational proficiency necessary to support safe, compliant, and efficient vessel navigation.
