Grief and Loss
Almost every employee will experience grief and loss at some point in their career. Personal life stressors, such as the death of a loved one, have negative effects on employees’ well-being. We have a few suggestions to help you with the healing process.
The healing process starts with acknowledging the pain. It is important to take time to grieve and not rush the process. Talking to someone who understands can help. It is okay to ask for help when you need it.
There are other things that you can try, to cope with your emotions in a healthy way. Such as; being kind to yourself, do not judging or avoiding your emotions, and taking care of your physical needs by eating healthy, sleeping properly, and resting sufficiently.
Everyone copes differently with grief, so it is important to find what works for you. Whatever you do, make sure to take care of yourself.
